Wait... give me the exact script to play the video. You lost me where you brought up the working directory. I know what the working directory is, but I need to know exactly how I write the code.

umm, in the file path argument should read:

working_directory + "Video/introclip.wav"

Not sure but I think that's it, if the clip named introclip is in folder Video, which is in the working directory, say, both on desktop.

PS the second argument is looping, 0=false 1=true

I tried this:
Code:

splash_show_video(working_directory + "Game\B4_Intro_0001.wmv",0);
in the create event, and the folder "Game" is on the desktop with both the gmk and the video in it. It won't work it says:
Code:

Video file not found (or name too long).
And I knew what the second argument was. Smile

Try running it when the gmk is outside from the folder.

Lets say gmk is on C\Desktop, which would be the working directory
and the video would be C\Desktop\B4\Data\Video\introclip.wav

then you would need to write

working_directory + "B4\Data\Video\introclip.wav"

Well, I figured it out!!!!!!!!

You're supposed to put an extra slash: (right before "Game\B4_In...")

splash_show_video(working_directory + "\Game\B4_Intro_0001.wmv",0);

Thanks for your assistance!

I released a v0.0.0.2d to Neko yesterday and he got back to me on a few things to fix, and I have a few other things to add to it and then I will post v0.0.0.3 up in hopefully less than 14 hours from now.

There are a list of things that I really need help on and I will address those once I release the next version. Please each of you help me with those. We also need to discuss a few things and I have some individual things I need to talk about with some of you. Overall, we are doing amazing and you should all be proud of yourself!

Alright, I'm putting together the list now, I'm putting a name beside each thing to show who I think will be best for it. Some of them are things I tried to do but it didn't work out, and they really need to be done. It's actually going to be quite a list, and once we get all of them in we will be at v0.0.0.4. And right now if you could analyze the movement engine and find all of the glitches you can, that would be nice, and then post them here. Because I'm pretty sure we all want it working perfect. The list will be in a new post because of the large amount of discussion I expect to take place.
