| LEGEND:Brown: Unstarted Red: Almost No Progress Orange: Partially Completed Yellow: Almost Done Green: Literally Done
Strikethrough: Completely Done
________________________________________________ STANDARD INFORMATION:
- Genre: Side-Scrolling Platformer Shooter (SPS).
- Gameplay: Real-Time
- Commercial: Possibly
- Multiplayer: No
- Game Availability: Download Only
- Targeted Audience: 11-99 years
- Highscores: Local
- HUD: Yes
- Voice Acting: Probably
KEY CHARACTERS:
- Conrad Bishop (Protagonist); character you control in-game, determined to bring down Cytocorp.
- Jacques Garcon (Ally); Garcon is an employee of the research facility and will get you items and weapons for a price. Although his motives are unclear he continues to supply you with whatever you need.
- Dr. Bryce (Antagonist); Cytocorp's Lead scientist; Head of weapon development and research.
- Supreme Commander Zie (Lead Antagonist); Military leader of Cytocorp who is a genetically enhanced megalomaniac.
THE PREMISE:It is in the future and cloning, genetic manipulation, and nanoweapons have become banned sciences. Nanotron secretly continues its illegal research on nanotechnology and Cytocorp, a secretly funded government operation, begins its super-soldier program and also builds an army using banned cloning technologies. The law passed that was meant to prevent technology from destroying manking ends up causing the situation where these two powers easily conquer world powers, either by force or by negotiation. Many are forced to join and fight while others form a freedom force to try to overthrow these evil forces. Cytocorp forges a temporary alliance with Nanotron to obliterate their common enemies, but this will not last long.
THE GAME STORY:You are Conrad Bishop, a Cytocorp general who has realized the horrors of what Cytocorp have done and determines to do what he can to destroy this world power. He becomes aware of a facility located where the first antimatter bomb was dropped. All of Cytocorps greatest secrets are kept in Biolab 4. This compound is the leading producer of munitions, clones, and development and research. By destroying this facility it will give the freedom fighters an edge and allow them a window in which they can reclaim their land. Inside there are experimental weapons, and supersoldiers, as well as failed experiments in which you have to defend yourself against. You must get to Biolab 4 and destroy their new weapons they are developing which could give them an advantage in the war.
IN-GAME STORY DEVELOPMENT:Now the story is advanced along by some events, but is told mostly through what I call Cytocorp dossier. Pretty much personal logs you can read that advance the story, give clues, passcodes, and tell of future dangers or possible weaknesses of a certain enemy...
Example: ------------------------------------------------------------------ Personal Log: Dr. Bryce 1:15, Oct 4 2054 We have finally received the shipment that Nanotron promised--Absolutely useless. What they sent us were nothing more than the original prototypes from 2042. Still we may yet get a glimpse into their technology and may begin making cyborg soldiers of our own.
------------------------------------------------------------------ Personal Log: Dr. Bryce 2:40, Oct 18 2054 Although test subjects 1 through 14 have been dissapointments, number 15 shows promise. Using our knowlege of bioengineering we have sucessfully integrated the cybernetic components into the living tissue. It is a far cry from what we hope to achieve, but it is a step in the right direction.
------------------------------------------------------------------ Personal Log: Dr. Bryce 11:20, Oct 22 2054 Test subject number 15 has been difficult to control to say the least. We have had to keep him restrained, but his body has shown some signs of rejection of the technology. Wehre did we go wrong?

Level 1 Intro Video:

Hanley: I...I'm just not sure. What happens if we get caught? Conrad Bishop: Hey relax, as long as we stick to the plan we'll be alright, okay? Lt. Hanley: Uh yeah, okay...good luck. Conrad Bishop: We're gonna need it... Commander Zie: Where's General Bishop? Lt. Hanley: Um... Commander Zie: Tell me, I don't trust him. Lt. Hanley: I just found out sir, he's at the Deathsite facility. I don't know what he's planning. Commander Zie: What? Call security there immediately! I will arrive shortly for my inspection of the new weapon and this situation better be resolved when I get there or its your head! Lt. Hanley: Right away sir...

- Starting abilites:
Starting abilities are abilities that are gained when you start the game as a certain class. For example: Demolitionists would have a higher efficiency in explosives and fire based weapons than if you were to be a Soldier But regardless of demo or soilder, both classes can still use the rocket/flamethrower.
- Skill tree abilities:
Skill tree abilities are abilities that can be gained as a specific class through leveling up. Level-ups will reward points to spend on skills of the skill tree. Each class has a different skill tree.
- Skills:
Each class has a skill such as: HP, Armor, Reload, Jump and things like effeciencies for Pistols, Rockets, Flamethrowers, SMGs, Assult Rifles, Grenades, Snipers, ect. Each class shares these skills, But different classes start with different skill percentages. A demo might have a 10/100 skill with Assult Rifle while soilder has a 30/100 skill.
- Weapon Classes:
Every weapon is catagorized under a class. Examples of Weapon Classes are; Pistol, Sniper, Shotgun, and Rocket. Last Updated: January 20, 2010

| For you creative guys that are itching to contribute here is a short list of things that could be done: Weapons fire effects, explosions, maybe dust or dirt effects (perhaps for when you destroy a wooden box and for when you land after a jump). Weapons ideas, any sort of concept art, boss ideas, HUD design, menu design, and someone needs to work with Legion in designing a skill tree. Thats all I can think of at the moment, but there are some things here I know you can do. | |

| Alright. Rather than having multiple downloads I have combined everything that was once there, and many other things, to make up our first resource pack. Feel free to download it. I will be posting a new one whenever neccessary. Remember to keep sending me your work so that things run smoothly.
Thanks, Commander~DEST | |

| For that scoring "Engine". All we need to do is make a few variables. | |

| Well, the scoring engine is as followed : -Current score displayed in stats menu. -Name input for highscore -Storage of variables in a text document (could be protected through the file converter Gullesnuffs made) -Name and score output for highscore table | |

| This week will probably be a slow one, so if we do not complete our deadline of December 12 that will be fine. I will, however, post a new resource pack once we have the majority of the things we are currently working on done. | |

| I have updated a bunch of stuff in the Engine section. Soem of it may still be a bit out of date, but I added and changed a lot of stuff to make it better. I will soon be adding all of that information in the Creative Dept topic. There's a lot there I will be able to add. | |

| Well December 12th has rolled around, and I doubt if I will finish the engine tonight. But as soon as I do I will update this topic, back up this topic in the resource pack, include all of the latest resources in the resource pack and post it.
We'll need to talk about the next few things that deserve our attention, and yes, you can start talking about them now, in this topic.
One thing I may or may not do for future resource packs is have two packs: one with just the new or updated stuff, and one with everything in it. This will be to reduce download time if you want to just get the new stuff, or have everything all organized but compromise and have a longer download time. So if you have an opinion on that...
And I will be further organizing the resource pack to have sub-folders marked 'Old' so that out-of-date resources will be out of the way, yet still accessible. Just so you know what's the current stuff.
So expect the resource pack soon... | |

| Yeah, it is pretty organized. There is always things I can do to add to it but yeah, I try to keep it organized as much as possible. Right now it is sort of out of date. But all in all it is a good spot if you want to see the majority of the game information. | |

| Quick question, why is it Biolab 4
Is there like a Biolab 3 and this is just a sequel. If so, think up some of your own ideas. | |
